Myles

At the young age of 7, Myles found his love for music from the grooves of the vinyl in his grandfather’s record collection. Growing up around a musical extended family, he was surrounded by instruments as they played at every family gathering. He began teaching himself guitar through books his mother bought him and from videos on YouTube.

After 14 years of experience, he says, “It took a lot of time to get anywhere; years in fact. But I love learning new things; hearing songs and parts of songs and going home to figure it out on guitar.”
Primarily training himself by ear, his teaching approach is based from his learning tactics. By focusing on listening and mimicking, you train your ears as well as working on your guitar skills.
Myles is inspired by guitar greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, & John Mayer. His styles vary from Blues, R&B, Soul, Funk, Rock, and everything in between.

Though not formally trained, he is a seasoned musician as well as a performer. Whether it’s solo acoustic or fronting his band, The Good Dudes, he averages playing around 3-5 times a week.
