With 8 years of piano training, Jason has studied a variety of styles.  His studies include classical, jazz and contemporary piano at LSU’s School of Music; music media and jazz piano with University of Louisiana; and classical piano and voice with Julliard alumni, Skip Harris.

He has played professionally for church organizations throughout Louisiana and has worked as the Music Director of Our Savior’s Church, overseeing music production, teaching piano, and holding music workshops.  Since 2012, Jason has played for Bethany Church, known worldly for its excellence in music.  As a part of Bethany Church, Jason has played with Integrity Artist Jonathan Stockstill, of Deluge, whose album Unshakeable peaked at #1 on iTunes.   Jason has also played for world-renowned saxophonist, Merlon Devine.

For the last 7 years, Jason has taught various piano levels ranging from beginning to advanced.  He has been teaching since 2013, helping young musicians learn to accompany their voices while cultivating a contemporary approach to piano education.  In the classroom, he also integrates classical repertoire & theory with UL’s award winning eNovative piano theory program.   His musical passion comes from listening to bands like Coldplay and MuteMath that inspire him to think outside the box.  Jason is proud to be inspiring the students at The Music Box and enhancing their musical knowledge.
